Coinfections in A Cow Herd Can Be Catastrophic
Fifty-eight percent of the cows exhibiting clinical disease symptoms harbor more than one pathogen when sampled through United Animal Health’s Pathkinex surveillance program. This disease state, known as a coinfection, not only increases risk of disease, but severity is also compounded when combined with additional stressors, resulting in health and production losses.
