About Us

Our Company

For nearly 70 years, United Animal Health has focused on one objective: helping livestock producers succeed.

We develop science-based nutrition and health solutions that improve animal performance and producer profitability. Our work is grounded in research, practical experience, and a deep understanding of how modern livestock operations function.

Markets change. Regulations evolve. Consumer expectations shift. Our job is to help producers stay ahead of it.

Our Story

United Animal Health was founded in 1956 when John B. Swisher began building a company around a simple idea: if you create real value for the producer, success follows for everyone involved.

Originally known as United Feeds, the company grew by working closely with producers and understanding the realities of livestock production. That producer-first mindset still defines how we operate today.

Over time, the company expanded its focus from feed solutions into nutrition technologies, microbial innovations, and animal health products designed to support modern livestock production.

Today

Today, United Animal Health provides nutrition and health technologies to livestock producers across North America and around the world.

From our headquarters in Sheridan, Indiana, our team works with producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, and industry partners to develop solutions that improve animal health, efficiency, and production outcomes.

Our products and technologies are used in more than 20 countries, supporting swine, poultry, and dairy operations in markets across Asia and the Americas.

While the company has grown significantly, the mission remains unchanged: deliver practical solutions that help producers run stronger, more profitable operations.
